dear mr & mrs bloggie…

Initially I was disheartened; I was all out of love. I was not in the mood for a celebration because Ferdie wasn't around. (And to think I was in ‘the honeymoon’ period still.)

My birthday was a bit of drag in the morning because I had to go for training. Saddened that my whole day would be wasted with colleagues I wasn’t closed with, I sulked. I daresay it was as good as not having a birthday at all.

Lo and behold, I was proven wrong. What I didn’t know was my “BFF” Caroline had something in store for me, the devil she. My colleagues gave me a surprise, I must confess, I wouldn’t forget. Unfortunately since it concerns work, I cannot elaborate it here. Ho well.

“My Plane Surprise”

The next day: My cousins could have it no other way but to celebrate this special day with me, so indeed. We realized that it was quite awhile since we last had a get-together in the hotel. Exactly a year ago we had a big celebration at the chalet. Hence, a party was in order.

Except this year, we wanted to make it a private affair so we opted for Gallery Hotel, what it being our normal joint.

Ah…. But not the suite this time, I’m afraid. Just the normal room to celebrate Hafiz-O and my birthday. The people present were those of the usual faces in my blog and two new ones.

Mind, I did say it was a hush-hush event. Though I insist on adding that what went on inside the room was anything but.

The theme for the night was Rainbow but you’d see not all were dressed as requested. Yea, I played cheat a little too. Nonetheless it didn’t spoil the fun one bit.

Bottles after bottles of liquor occupied the whole table and the mixers came in abundance. Food consisted of pizza and lots of snacks and evidently the night wouldn’t be complete without music and games. Taboo, Uno, Poker and Jengga were our life-savers.

Before I forget, one of the convivial moments was when my cousins and I donned on wigs (belonging to my sister’s friend) and we had a blast acting like fools and pretending to be drag queens. My species, so step aside. And I guess you guys would disagree with me if I said I was impersonating Lady Gaga? Ok fine.

But the highlight of the event for me personally was none listed above. Aye. If you must know, Hafiz-O and I shared a birthday cake. Now wait, it was no ordinary cake ladies and gentleman. The angel of a cousin named Ctea surprised us with a STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE. I was near to tears by then. I am not pulling your leg, I was touched lah. I didn’t expect a birthday cake, let alone my favorite piece. I even did a little shuffle to show gratitude. I was THAT happy. Thank you Cuz Ctea and the rest of the crew for making me smile from ear to ear.

The people present were:
Cuz Ctea and Hafiz-O
Cuz Nur and Branson
Cuz Serena and Khai
Juls (My cousins call him “the family friend” now) and Zana
Cuz Kat (my Valentine partner)

It was indeed a lovely night however it didn’t stop me from thinking of Ferdie and constantly saying out his name. Just so you know, for the first time ever, I didn’t drink at all for the whole night, them people being my very witnesses. Let me repeat that: I didn’t drink at all. Amazing what love can do to you. Believe me now when I said I would change? *smiles angelically*

I know by now most of you would have skipped through the paragraphs just to get to the photos so without further delay, I present to you…

And to top everything off, this being the juicy sweet strawberry on my shortcake, I was made a happy girl today.

Ferdie and I met in MSN.

And then we talked on the phone for a few minutes or so. *smiles action-ly and jumps up and down like a twit who's giddy with love*

Now, if you’d excuse me, I’m going to sleep and have me a lil sweet dream. One filled with flowers and clouds and butterflies. Oh, and Ferdie in his uniform.

Good night mr & mrs bloggie. Thanks for the presents!
